Opening hours

The Residenz is open daily. Public holidays: all the buildings are closed on 1 January, Shrove Tuesday and 24, 25 and 31 December.

Fountain machinery in the internal link Court Garden

The fountain machinery can be viewed every day.
It is in operation from April to October every day from 10 am to 2 pm.


Information for visitor groups:

Registrations and reservations of visitor groups are not requiredly for the Munich Residenz.



Guided tours

There are no regular guided tours through the Residenz, but you can make use of our free Audio-Guide which is available for the Residenz Museum and for the Schatzkammer in German, English, French, Italian and Spanish.

In addition, you have the possibility to book guided tours for private groups. On our main pages (external link www.schloesser.bayern.de) you will find more

Information for the disabled

Rooms at the Munich Residenz (Residenz Museum, Treasury) and the Fountain machinery in the Court Garden only accessible via staircase or steps. The Allerheiligen-Hofkirche and the Cuvilliés-Theater are accessible for wheelchairs; ramp, lift and toilets for the disabled available.
