Opening hours

The Munich Residence is open daily.
It is only closed on the following days: 1 January, Shrove Tuesday and 24 / 25 / 31 December.

28 March-19 October: daily 9 am-6 pm (last entry: 5 pm)
20 October-27 March: daily 10 am-5 pm (last entry: 4 pm)

Fountain machinery in the Court Garden

The fountain machinery can be viewed every day. It is in operation from April to October daily from 10 am to 2 pm.

Guided tours

Visitors can explore the Munich Residence on their own without a guided tour; guided tours led by private guides are permitted.

You can make use of our free audio guide. Audio guide tours are available for the Residence Museum and the Treasury in the following languages: German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and Arabic.

It is also possible to book special guided tours in English for groups (adults or children).
