Opening hours

Please note

 

Due to building work the Treasury will be closed from 11 January to 26 February 2016.

Because of an event the Cuvilliés Theatre will be closed on Saturday, 13 February 2016.
The Bronze Halls will close at 3 pm.

Due to an event the Munich Residence (Residence Museum, Treasury, Cuvilliés Theatre) will be closed on Wednesday, 13 April 2016.

Because of extensive restoration works the following parts of the Residence Museum cannot be visited until further notice: State apartments at the Royal Palace, Nibelungen Halls, and Collection of European Porcelain

We apologize for any inconveniences.

Public holidays: all the buildings are closed on 1 January, Shrove Tuesday and 24, 25 and 31 December.

Fountain machinery in the Court Garden

The fountain machinery can be viewed every day.
It is in operation from April to October daily from 10 am to 2 pm.

 

Information for visitor groups: There is no reservation required for groups at the Munich Residence.

Guided tours

There are no regular guided tours through the Residence; visitors can go around on their own.

But you can make use of our free audio guide. Audio guide tours are available for the Residence Museum and the Treasury in German, English, French, Italian, Spanish and Russian.

It is also possible to book special guided tours in English for groups.
